Custom Machine Builder Since 1971 Machines, masking & tooling built under one roof

Turnkey coating, curing and wash systems, industrial masking, CNC machining, laser cutting and fabrication for manufacturers across the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Why Met-L-Tec

Four divisions. One roof.

Since 1971, our family-owned company has designed and built the tooling and equipment manufacturers use to mask, coat, cure, wash and handle their parts.

Engineering, controls, fabrication, machining and assembly all happen in our 38,000 sq. ft. facility in Temperance, Michigan, so your project never leaves our hands.

About Met-L-Tec

Met-L-Tec, LLC

Concept to start-up, under one roof

Met-L-Tec started in paint finishing tooling, and that is still the heart of the company: the masks, nests and fixtures that hold parts through painting, coating and metalizing. Today our 40-person team also builds complete turnkey systems, from coating and curing lines to mask washers, ovens and recycling equipment.

Mechanical design, electrical controls, fabrication, machining, assembly, programming, installation and start-up all come from the same team, so you deal with one company from the first drawing to the first good part.

  • Designed in 3D, straight from your CAD data
  • Built and tested in our shop before it ships
  • Installed, started up and supported on site

What we build

Engineering

Designed in 3D, wired and programmed in-house

Every system we build is designed in 3D in Siemens NX, Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD, and our tooling designs start from the 3D data you send us. Mastercam takes the same models straight to our CNC machines.

Our electrical team draws the schematics, builds and wires the control panels, and programs the PLCs, HMIs and robots, then supports the system after start-up. We also take on retrofits and controls upgrades for equipment you already own.

Questions

What buyers ask us first

Still wondering? Call (734) 847-7004 and ask for sales.

What does Met-L-Tec build?

Two things that work together: the tooling that holds parts through finishing (nickel electroformed and fabricated masks, nesting, fixtures and metalizing tooling) and the turnkey machines that finish them (coating and curing systems, mask washers, ovens, turntables and conveyors). We also run a CNC machine shop, a 6 kW fiber laser with CNC press brakes, and build recycling and material processing equipment.

Where are you located, and who do you work with?

Our 38,000 sq. ft. facility is at 7310 Express Road, Temperance, MI 48182. We build for manufacturers across the United States, Canada and Mexico, from automotive exterior and lighting suppliers to recycling operations.

Can you work from our CAD files?

Yes. We design in Siemens NX, Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD and program our CNC machines with Mastercam, so we can work directly from your 3D data. Attach drawings or models to the quote form (PDF, STEP, IGES, DWG, DXF, Parasolid, SolidWorks and more).

Do you install and start up the equipment you build?

Yes. Our turnkey systems are built and tested in our shop, then installed and started up on site. Installation, training and shipping can all be part of the project.

Can government buyers purchase from Met-L-Tec?

Yes. Met-L-Tec holds GSA contract 47QRAA22D009B. Our DUNS number is 054168885, and our NAICS codes are listed on the Government & GSA page.

Have a part, a print or a production problem?

Send us your drawings or CAD files and tell us what you need. Our team will review it and get back to you with a quote.
